Some
Michigan auctioneers travel from state to state to sell
auctions. I've sold more than 300 auctions
outside the state of Michigan personally. But
why, I asked myself? Why
am I
traveling?
The State
of Michigan is a large area with millions of people
living here. There is a lot personal
property and real estate to be sold right here in
Michigan. And lots of buyers. Look
at the crowd in the photo. Hundreds and
hundreds of buyers.
We have
decided
that there is no need to travel outside of Michigan
to hold auctions any longer. There are
millions of individuals,
businesses and governments needing our services
right here locally.
Property
of all types is constantly being purchased, by
individuals, corporations and governments.
After a period of time for whatever reason, it must
be sold. The quickest and easiest way to sell
it for fair market value is to hold an auction and
sell it competitively to the highest bidder.
Anyone who
has faced this problem more than once knows that
auction is the way to sell.
When there
is a quantity of items to sell, an auction is the
best way to go. Everything is sold the same
day. The seller usually receives more for
their goods at auction. Why? For two
reasons. Everything sells. Some of it
goes lower than expected. Some of the items go
higher than expected. It all averages out to a
fair market price.
It is all
gone the same day. It's over! The sale
doesn't drag on for several weeks or months like a
pre-priced estate sale or liquidation sale.
With an auction there is usually nothing left over.
Typically,
after several weeks, a negotiated liquidation sale
will still have a lot of items left unsold.
Then it's up to the owner to try and figure out what
to do with the left over's. An auction
eliminates that problem.
If it is
an estate, the estate can now be settled with the
cash received from the auction. Everyone can
move on.
Large
crowds of buyers of all types of personal property
and real estate are always ready to purchase, even
in a recession.
Yep, there
is plenty of property to sell right here in Michigan
without traveling long distances. Therefore, we now
consider ourselves "Michigan Auctioneers". If
you haven't been to one of our auctions, please
come. We think you will enjoy it.
