q       Individuals intending to bid must first register with the auction clerk and receive a Bidder’s Number.

 q       The Department of Management & Budget, Acquisition Services Division, reserves the right to reject any bid which in the opinion of the conducting official, is unreasonable.  Items so bid will be removed from the bidding and may be offered for bidding at a later time. 

q       All sale items must be removed from state property within three (3) working days from 8 am to 3 pm following the sale or said auction items become the property of the State of Michigan, State Surplus Program.

 q       All items of sale are subject to applicable Michigan Sales Tax, or sales tax license number must be provided.

 q       The State of Michigan assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries to persons in attendance.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

q       Acceptable forms of payment include; Cash, Master Card, Visa, or Check (payable to the State of Michigan) for the full amount at the time of sale. Purchase orders will only be accepted from Local Units of Government.

 q       OUT OF STATE BUYERS: Business and personal checks will only be accepted if accompanied by a bank letter that must guarantee a specific amount for a date no less than 15 days following an auction.  This information must be clearly noted in the bank letter.
